A Pill For Every Skill

The Impact of Brain-Stimulant Drugs on the Youth of America

Abstract

Six million children in the United States struggle with ADD/ADHD. Three in four of those children with ADHD receive treatment. More often than not a child's well being is put second to academic performance. Changing the way educators approach a struggling student and providing support from above are just two examples of alternate management to medication. Considering this is one of the first generations to have access to government regulated brain stimulant drugs starting at a young age, who really knows how we might end up in the future.
